Wal-Mart Would Be Welcome
2009-01-15

I live in the Locust Grove area and I agree wholeheartedly with the letter in the Jan. 8 issue from Dave Agsten.
Come on Orange County can you at least agree to make some changes in the community that would really benefit us?
Lets see,  we have overcrowded schools, no local community swimming pool that also teaches swim lessons, no motel, hotel, no area YMCA, only one automotive repair shop, only one choice of a high end grocery store, one pharmacy, no type of clothing, shoe, or household items store, no other employment choices for our high school students to work locally except McDonalds, no area recreation community building, and a strong hold on landowners not to do as they wish with their own land for their families for a long period of time.
Wal-Mart will be the answer, we already have to drive in the Route 3 traffic back and fourth to work everyday, shopping close to home and not dealing with traffic congestion would be a blessing. Our kids could take the bus after school and go straight to work.
We need a Wal-Mart in this part of Orange County.
